Human Stupidity, Judgment and Love

I watched two videos on U-tube today that both show the stupidity of human beings.

The first is the video to the song 'Dear God' from XTC. The lyrics contain all the clichés: God is responsible for all the suffering in the world; religion only divides people; God is 'always letting us humans down'.. Right. Us humans.. Us innocent humans..
Andy Partridge is playbacking terribly bad in this video, and he isn't able to hide the anxious, weak little boy that he is. Not really a match for God, I'm afraid.. Partridge stopped performing live after he'd wetted his pants on stage. I'm no stronger than he is. But the Bible says: 'There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.'

The second is the video to the song 'God's Gonna Cut U Down', a traditional performed by Johnny Cash. The performance is magnificent. But the lyrical content of the song and the video are a complete mismatch - or, they actually do match, but then in a completely unintended way. The lyrics are about God's judgment over evil. The video is filled with Hollywood and MTV big shots, appearing to bring last honour to Johnny. Didn't anyone listen to the lyrics of the song?
